The RI-024A sense relay modules allow the Vesta to monitor the status of 24VAC circuits that aren't directly controlled by the Vesta. A very typical application is monitoring the outputs of a thermostat so the the Vesta can tell when the thermostat is calling for heat, cooling, or fan operation.
This Vesta relay input module contains four relays that are controlled by external voltage. The control signal for the RI-024A can be supplied by any 24VAC circuit. Each relay has two contact sets. One is monitored by the Vesta, and one is available for the the user.
The spare contacts are capable of controlling pumps, valves, motors, or other electrical loads. Connection to the Vesta System Controller is accomplished with a standard Ethernet-style cable.
The Relay Module uses an enclosure with removable side panels. The relay board is mounted on the bottom surface. This allows for easy access to dress wiring neatly.
The relay contacts are rated for 8A momentary and 3A continuous current per relay contact. This is suitable for most small pumps, fans, circulators, and lights.
